Each board, honestly
This site. 1,301 live openings pulled daily from official national job APIs, studios' own careers feeds, the professional chambers' boards and EURES, plus 4,363 hand-researched studios, advertised-salary analytics and the EU tender feed. Every ad links to the original posting. Built and listed here by us, judged by the same columns as everyone else.
The board of Dezeen magazine, with the strongest brand in design media. Employers pay to post, so listings are direct and curated, and the design-world audience is real. Best if you target the UK or big-name practices. It is a posting board, not an aggregator: coverage depends on who buys an ad that month.
The community board of the biggest architecture forum. Deep in the US market, with editorial content and salary discussions around it. For European searches it is thinner: the international section exists but Europe is not its center of gravity. Best US-market coverage of the group.
The jobs section of the profiles network. Strong in Switzerland, Germany and Austria, where its curated practice profiles carry weight. A good complement if you target German-speaking Europe; posting volume outside DACH is modest.
The job board attached to the Architizer platform. US-leaning employer postings with the A+ Awards brand behind it. For a Europe-based search it is a secondary stop.
The official board of the Royal Institute of British Architects. For UK positions it is the authoritative place: institute backing, serious employers, salary stated more often than average. If your search is UK-only, start here and use aggregators as the complement.
The volume baseline. Everything is there somewhere, but "architect" drowns in software-architect roles, filters cannot express "no local language required", and listings often route through recruiter chains. Useful as a safety net, painful as a primary tool for a cross-border architecture search.
Who made this comparison
Built by the maker of architecturejobs.eu, which started as a tool for one architect preparing her September applications. Our pipeline ingests the official national job APIs, studios' careers feeds and EURES every morning, so the judgments above come from processing these sources daily, not from browsing screenshots. Common questions
What is the best architecture job board in Europe?
It depends on the search. For a cross-border European search in English, this site covers 28 countries from official sources with per-ad language detection, free and without login. For a UK-only search, RIBA Jobs is the authoritative board. For big-name practices and design-world visibility, Dezeen Jobs has the strongest brand. The honest answer is to use a data-complete aggregator as the base and the curated boards as complements.
What are good Dezeen Jobs alternatives?
Dezeen Jobs is employer-paid and strongest in the UK. Alternatives depend on the gap you're filling: this site for aggregated coverage across 28 European countries with language detection, RIBA Jobs for UK authority, World-Architects for the German-speaking market, Archinect for the US. All of them are listed with their trade-offs on this page.
Are architecture job boards free for job seekers?
The specialist boards compared here are free to browse; some require an account to apply or set alerts. This site needs no login for anything, including alerts by RSS. The standard business model across the sector is that employers pay to post, and seekers browse free.
Do any architecture job boards show salary data?
Individual ads state salaries inconsistently everywhere: only a minority of European architecture ads disclose pay. This site aggregates every disclosed salary into distributions by country and level, computed from live ads. RIBA Jobs ads state pay relatively often; on the other boards it varies by employer.
