Median and middle-half range of disclosed ads as of 2026-08-06 — the calculator above always shows today's figures. Cost of living differs a lot between these countries; compare with that in mind.

How this is calculated

Only ads that state a salary count — a minority, and one that skews toward employers confident enough to publish pay. Ranges count as their midpoint; monthly figures ×12; other currencies convert at rough fixed rates; hourly rates are excluded. Experience level is read from the job title, so most mid-level roles sit in “not stated”. Slices with too few disclosed ads widen automatically rather than showing a confident number computed from three data points.

Negotiating? The middle-half range is the useful number, not the median: an offer below the 25th percentile for your level and country is a fact you can name in the conversation. Browse the ads that disclose pay to cite real listings, and check the full salary & demand data — including how much more BIM-tagged roles ask for.

Figures shift with every daily refresh and with which employers happen to be hiring — treat differences under ~10% as noise.

Common questions

Where does the salary data come from?

From live European job ads that disclose pay, normalized to gross EUR/year and refreshed every morning. It is the advertised market, not a survey — use it as orientation, not gospel.

What does the percentile mean?

Where your salary sits among the disclosed-pay ads for the slice you picked: 62nd percentile means 62% of those ads advertise less. The middle half (25th to 75th) is the typical advertised range.

Why do only some ads count?

Only a minority of European architecture ads disclose pay, so the calculator computes from the ones that do and always shows the sample size. Thin slices widen automatically and say so.
