Fully free, professional-grade

• Blender (Cycles & Eevee) — free and open source forever; Cycles is a genuinely professional path-tracer, Eevee gives real-time previews. The learning curve is the only cost — and studios increasingly respect it on a CV.
• Twinmotion — free for non-commercial and education use (Epic Games); real-time archviz with direct sync plugins for SketchUp, Revit, Archicad and Rhino. The tool most likely to appear in European job ads after Lumion/Enscape.
